couch pup Me I do the best I can from the grocery store. I raise my chickens for the eggs and the meat and I hunt and fish and I go to local beef and pork farms and buy the animals there and slaughter them and process them at my home.

KYLE I prefer a real brine for anything that I am about to smoke. I use a real smoker instead of liquid smoke.

@Phoeline um yeah there’s a pretty big difference between choosing to eat an animal for Substance and killing a human being for being annoying. Like a huge difference. I have absolutely nothing again being vegan infact we made a lot of vegan recipes hence why I’m here but that’s a big difference.

Yes, I have been doing research into this, I always add a good spoon of ground flax t my morning oats and noticed that is tasted like oily fish and there is truth behind it. The breakdown of Omega 3 is likely what gives the aroma.

Vegan cream cheese that taste like cream cheese..

Make some coconut yogurt…thick.

You can ferment it if u like.

Once yogurt is ready pour into a cheese cloth and let strain the whey out..

once its at desired consistency… u can eat as is or add whatever u like..

I made “salmon” with carrots but used a different recipe. I wrapped the carrots in nori before putting them in the oven with the salt. Then I used a different marinade, no liquid smoke, but flaxseed oil and some other ingredients I cant remember. It tasted just like the real thing!

Oh man what can i say… THIS WAS DELICIOUS. Tasted like lox only sweeter. Texture was a lot like lox, but you have to let it sit in the fridge for a few days. I made it without liquid smoke but it was still so delicious. Had it on a whole wheat bagel with cream cheese. This recipe really is a winner.
