This definitely was the best fried rice I ever had! I sautéed some shrimp on the side, and added it to the rice, as well as cashews on top for another garnish. Thanks for this fabulous recipe!

Am I the only one that can't stand the mixing sound? Shouldn't you be using a wooden spoon or something that won't harm the wok/pan/whatever it is that you're using?

Great recipe! Here in Trinidad, our Chinese immigrants use five spice powder or anise seed in their veggie fried rice…it's such a tasty addition!
Why do you use a steel spoon to stir. Doesn't that scratch the bottom of your pans?
