Love this smoothie! I have been making this forever. I soak my oat overnight in a little water. I find that it helps the oats to blend up better. If I don’t soak them I get a “raw oat” flavor and chewy bits of oats in my smoothie. Soaking them keeps everything smooth and creamy. At least that’s what works for me.
@balfarzar I always soak my oats overnight in an acidic medium such as acv, yogurt or lemon to get rid of the phytate. Then I cook and cool it down have it in the fridge to make my smoothie
how about you soak them in milk and use that milk for the smoothie
Try blending the oats on it’s own first, until it’s like a powder. That’s what I do, and I don’t really taste the oats much after
do you pour off the water?
I usually just blend my dry oats into a powder first and then add the rest of the ingredients to avoid those chewy bits.. I’ll definitely be trying this method next time.

looks amazing! try freezing the banana first, so it’s nice and cold. peel it, break it into segments and put it in a zip top bag and make sure there’s no air in it. freeze!
Bethany P : I just pop the banana in the freezer skin and all .. it’s got it’s on natural packaging hasn’t it 😉 I then just leave it on the bench for 5 mins so it’s easier to slice off the skin

My favorite smoothie is oats, bananas and cacao. It’s like a banana chocolate milkshake. Absolutely fantastic!
