HomeMade Tofu | How to make Tofu at home | Soybean ka Paneer | Dairy Paneer vs Soy Paneer

That's firm weight-loss advice from Tosca Reno, author of "The Eat-Clean Diet" and the fab-40 columnist for "Oxygen" fitness magazine.Soy is commonly touted as the only complete plant protein and offers several health benefits. Reno recommends adding it to your meals several times each week to aid weight loss. I started this description with benefits of soy & tofu that is made of soy milk because most of are not only naive to the very easy & simple method of making tofu (soy paneer) at home but also to the benefits & its role In weight loss and overall healthy diet.

Ingredients to make homemade Tofu/ Soyabean ka Paneer :-
1.5 cup (125g) soy Soya bean seeds
Water as required
Juice of 2 lemon/vinegar

Method to make homemade Tofu /Soyabean ka Paneer

Soak 1.5 cups of soybeans in water overnight.
Next day Discard water and rinse soybeans in warm water
Remove skins as best you can.
Add soybeans and 4 cups (1 litre) water to blender.
Blend until smooth.
Strain the blended mixture using sieve, cotton or muslin cloth
Remove the excess foam if you want to, or leave it like that.
Heat the strained milk in a heavy-bottom pan, bring it to a boil.
Remove from the heat and keep it aside
In a small bowl take juice of 2 lemon ( at room temperature) mix it with 2 spoon of warm water.
( you can also use vinegar) add this to soy milk gradually keep stirring.
Within 5-8 minutes Milk will start the curdle.
Now take a large strainer (sieve) and cover it with a cotton, muslin or cheese cloth.
Now pour the curdled milk on top.
Fold the fabric over the curds and place a weight on top to begin pressing out the liquid. Allow the mixture to be pressed by the weight for 45minutes - 1 hour or until it holds together. Remove the block of tofu from the mold. And cut it into cubes.
If you don't plan to consume the tofu the same day that you make it, store it in an air tight container in the refrigerator.

Hi i liked your recipes but you can also lose weight with desi veggies (Stir fry) like white and yellow pumpkin combo with a dash of tadka of mustard jeera, one redchilli and some fresh coconut shavings. Similarly beans different varities also snake gourd and ridge gourdand bitter gourd and cabbage and cauli flower. . Tindli needs little oil for making dry subji so also brinjal.
