I made this two days ago. I doubled the recipe. Because I knew it was going to be great. Guess what?? It was great great and greater than great

        arif ali says:

Celia Batte these red lentils are with out skin and only soaking and grinding is enough. Later they will be cooked during frying.

        rayyan a. says:

Can i ask what you used in terms of almond flour, breadcrumbs or ground cashews?

        george washington says:

@Celia Batte no she did not she soaked them.. drained them and dried them a bit maybe with a cloth. then just mixed them and friend them.

        Amery Stoker says:

        HUm….looks great. I’ll give it a try…

This is by far the best recipe I’ve tried in months, even my husband, who loathes anything vegan, tucked in. Thank you so much.

        Universal Vibes TV says:

@Sarah Loffler The term Plant Based seems more acceptable to the masses.

        Sarah Loffler says:

Universal Vibes TV, that’s true. But the masses shouldn’t always be relied upon to make good decisions on nutrition…or ethics. Vegan carries the full weight of the ethical dimension of nutrition.

        baby Mend says:

But it’s ok the lentils go in raw ?

        Jen Pitre says:

@Lovely Smiles I hope you are able to meet some new people this year! There may be a vegan support group near you. Mine has lots of men

        Virginia Hoffman says:

I will make these with some hot chilli peppers then add cucumber yoghurt sauce for dipping.

        Sarah Loffler says:

Virginia Hoffman, and then you will invite me over and I will bring sweet minty tea

        Simrah Nazim says:

Thanks for the idea about the dip!

        Deb M says:

I made this tonight and it didn’t turn out the greatest so I re-listened to the video and think I should have processed it in the food processor longer than I did. Also, my food processor is ‘medium’ sized and I realized I needed to split the mixture into two in order to process it all. I baked some and fried a few in coconut oil. I will make this again and bake them all as I prefer to avoid the oil. I baked them on parchment paper and that worked well. I anticipate it will work better on the second try!

        Roshni says:

You can use red lentil flour from supermarkets

        Commando602 says:

I made them into round patties and omitted the oil. Baked at 425° for roughly 25 minutes, this worked for me just fine and they came out golden brown. They were delicious and Grandkids approved.

        george washington says:

@arif ali that frying oil not not healthy oil. healthy oil is first press olive oil.. and coconut oil. salmon, avocado. etc. what she is frying in . is definition of bad fat and bad oil

        Sylwia Gora says:

suppose kids like those crunchy snacks… I made half on a pan with oil and they were good and soft. And then reading your comments I made another half in the oven for 200C and 25 min, but they turn out to be very dry and hard.

        Mariana Iantchouleva says:

Do u grate the potato raw?

        Mariana Iantchouleva says:

Does anyone know if the veggies and the potato are precooked ?

        Evelynrosemary D'souza says:

I made it today just added some fresh mint leaves and chaat masala powder to it … Very very delicious ❤❤❤

        ammy fill says:

Have u made with same method?

        Coco Jo says:

Just watched this again and love it thank you

        Rita T says:

Your voice is so clear, and your instructions are concise and easy to follow. Excellent video quality too. Best of all, it’s a great recipe! Well done! 👌

        Sukayna Nathani says:

Rita T Yes, the voice is very clear, though accent sound forced: but, the narrator should let the cook herself ( I think it’s a lady); also say something, so we know that the cook is different than the narrator.
The Kebabs though sound delicious and, healthy!
Seeing the cooks’ hands, I remembered myself, that even though I got arthritis in my hands, but I still did cook a lot.
Just shows arthritis or age doesn’t stop anyone do what they really want to do.
        Good Job!

        Sevilla Bonita says:

@Sukayna Nathani how do you know it’s not the same person ?

        Eliane Pereira says:

I noticed something different in this video as well. Instructions are still clear, however the pitch in her voice is a bit different from the other videos…as if she tried to sound a bit more energetic..? Unfortunately, it was a bit annoying to hear as it was a louder/forced. Please don’t change your soft, soothing voice / communication style. I absolutely love your recipes, how objectively you explain them, and especially your soothing calm voice.

        lovin life says:

thank you so much for putting up the recipe also!! they look amazing!!

        Rose Rose says:

OMG this looks amazing. I would love to make thissss💗

        amixedbagofcoils says:

This was so good. I didn’t have a food processor so I used my ninja blender. Next time I will grind it up a little more, a tad bit to coarse because I’m a texture person, but it was still good.
It works well with gluten free panko crumbs!
I will try baking it next time following another commenter’s recommendations.

        Rhonda D says:

I made these today and they are delicious. Baked instead of frying, came out brown and crispy 425 for 25 min. Thank you for the recipe.

        Bustajoint Nflex says:

@katydid2k I added a tablespoon of oil to the mixture and put it on the braai ( I mean barbecue) it came out fab.

        LH Ta says:

        Nurten Pellack says:

I have already made this recipe. Because I was trying for the first time, I followed the recipe step by step and never substituted anything. It came out to perfection. Absolutely delicious. I served with sliced red onions, sliced tomatoes and some picked gherkin in Pita with tahini sauce.

        Peace Lilly says:

Are these spicy? Trying to work out if any good for the kids

        Nurten Pellack says:

@Peace Lilly You don’t have to add hot pepper. The rest of the spices add nice flavors. Just eliminate peppery spices.

        Purplebutterfly says:

Thank you. Looks sooo good. I’ve must make these soon. By the way, “in goes” sounds so cute when you say it. I will try these with my tandori masala 🤗
