Seriously, I’m not one to brag but this Chili recipe has placed MANY TIMES now in various Chili Cookoffs. I’m not kidding, and it not only came in 2nd place against nine other NON-Vegan entries… it happened in TEXAS!

I cannot stop making this!! Thank you!
Trying this!
Looks great! I'll be making this tonight
how spicy is it with that 1/4 cup of chili powder?
Thanks so much for this recipe. It turned out fantastic. I added black beans in addition to the kidney and pinto beans…made it a 3 bean chili. A+++++++++++++
I just made this recipe and when I tell the title is very accurate 😂. The chili turned out awesome!
Just letting you know tonight I plan to make your chili, can't wait to see how it turns out, I also found a recipe to make a meat substitute, can't wait!
Allergic to bell peppers, any suggestions for replacement flavor?
Highly recommended! I made this tonight. My husband and SIL enjoyed it. Chili was spicy for me and I left out the Chipotle chili pepper. I didn't have fresh garlic, I used about a heaping tablespoon of jarred chopped garlic. My meat substitute was finely chopped fresh mushrooms. I had my chili over rice, hubby and SIL had theirs over cornbread. Thanks so much!
Just made this for the first time tonight and it's a keeper. Thanks for sharing!
I've made this before and it was delicious. I don't have any bulgur this time around but I think I'll substitute hominy. Great recipe.
This chili is good. I made it.
Better flavour if you fry the onions, bell & chilli peps for about 8 mins, (adding garlic halfway), THEN add the spices (paprika, cumin, turmeric mixed with a tbsp flour), and sort of scorch them in, making a paste for a minute, then SLOWLY adding the stock.
Chilli powder, really !? Use chopped fresh chillies for real flavor and vibrant heat! (Last time I used 8 Bird's eyes!).
When you simmer the onion and peppers what dial setting are you at ? High low or in between? Sorry I don't cook much
What kind of flour
I have it cooking now. I’ve never made a meal this complex. I bought a 4 quart Crock Pot just for this. I’m quite content with the chili powder quantity. I also put in a bunch of jalapeño slices and three habanero peppers for a little heat.
Can’t wait for the hour to go by to try it. I did a quick taste test to get an idea. So far so good.
Just discovered you on YouTube and viewed some of your recipes online. All I have to say 'you are my man '. Trying to find plant based recipes is not easy. Also, I can adjust them for gluten free.
Thx. a million
I have Celiac Disease what is the best alternative to Bulgar please
Do you think adding lentils instead of the bulgur would be good?
Adding bulgar – jaw dropping!! Great 💡
You had me interested at "refried beans". I bought a can out of curiosity and had no idea what to do with it 😂 and your recipe just did the trick. I made it last night and it tastes so meaty and rich! I'm bringing some to my meat eating sister and nephew…. fingers crossed. Thank you for sharing your recipe. You've really helped me on my plant-based journey.
I just made this and yep, it is very good!
